Straddling the corner of Hinemoa Street and Brassey Road boldly stands the Seaview Retail Development, a two level commercial building with ground floor retail units and potential offices or apartments above. A truly unique and stylish design that had to abide by the heritage constraints of the area. A combination of steel, insitu and precast concrete make up the structure. A mix of cladding products and infill sections complete the complex façade. The initial contract was for the base build, however as the project progressed, aspects of the bespoke fit out were also incorporated, as well as the retrofitting of fire protection to the attached existing warehouse. Seaview Retail is a modern building that still pays homage to the history of the area and fits in well with its surroundings.
